About the Role
Bestank Manufacturing Corporation, the acknowledged leader in water storage solutions in the Philippines, is looking for a sharp and highly organized Logistics Quality Controller to safeguard our product standards at our Davao facility. As a pivotal player in our logistics and supply chain management team, you will be the first line of defense against quality issues, meticulously examining all incoming raw materials, components, and supplies against our strict quality benchmarks. Furthermore, you will oversee the quality of outgoing finished products to ensure absolute customer satisfaction.
This role goes beyond simple checking. You will be instrumental in maintaining an accurate digital and physical inventory, generating detailed quality reports, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline receiving and shipping processes. Responsibilities
- Inspect and verify all incoming shipments (raw materials, parts, supplies) against purchase orders, delivery receipts, and quality standards.
- Perform outgoing quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet customer specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Document inspection results, non-conformities, and corrective actions through detailed reports (e.g., Non-Conformance Reports, Quality Data Sheets).
- Coordinate with Warehouse, Procurement, and Production teams to quarantine, return, or rework non-conforming materials.
- Monitor inventory turnover and shelf life for applicable materials, ensuring FIFO practices are strictly followed.
- Maintain, calibrate, and ensure the proper use of inspection tools and equipment to guarantee accurate measurements.
- Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Kaizen, 5S) to enhance overall logistics quality.
- Assist in audits (internal, customer, or third-party) by providing accurate quality records and documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's/College degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Quality Control, Warehouse, or Logistics functions. Fresh graduates with strong internship experience are welcome to apply.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in performing inspections and documentation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word) and familiarity with inventory management systems (ERP knowledge such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics is a plus).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with different departments and external suppliers.
- Ability to lift moderate weight (usually up to 10-20 kgs) and stand for extended periods during inspection activities.
- Willing to work in Davao and amenable to shifting schedules, overtime, or extended hours during peak operational periods.
- Knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001:2015) and basic quality tools is an advantage.
