Responsibilities
- Safely operate lorries for the transportation of goods to designated customers and warehouses
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with safety standards
- Plan efficient delivery routes to minimize travel time and fuel consumption
- Assist in loading and unloading cargo, verifying quantities and condition against delivery documents
- Maintain accurate logs of travel, mileage, and fuel usage
- Communicate promptly with the logistics coordinator regarding delays, route changes, or vehicle issues
- Report any accidents, traffic violations, or mechanical problems to the supervisor immediately
- Ensure all deliveries are completed within agreed timelines and provide proof of delivery
Qualifications
- Valid Malaysian GDL (Goods Driving License) with class E or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience driving lorries or heavy vehicles
- Clean driving record with no major traffic offenses
- Physical fitness to handle loading/unloading tasks
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
- Ability to read and understand delivery documents and road signs in Malay and English
- Good time management and punctuality
- Willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings or weekends when required
