Responsibilities
- Operate lorries and pickup trucks safely and efficiently for the timely delivery of spice products to designated locations.
- Load, unload, and secure goods properly to prevent damage during transit, adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or issues promptly to ensure roadworthiness.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, including delivery manifests, mileage logs, and other relevant documentation.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations while on the road and at customer sites.
- Assist with basic operational tasks at the warehouse or delivery points as required.
- Ensure the cleanliness and general upkeep of assigned vehicles.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing GR Spices Sdn Bhd professionally.
Qualifications
- Possess a valid Malaysian driving license (e.g., GDL/D license) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a Lorry / Pickup Driver, preferably in logistics or FMCG distribution.
- Familiarity with Kuantan and surrounding areas; ability to navigate efficiently.
- Physically fit and able to handle loading and unloading of goods.
- Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and reliability.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting is an advantage.
