Job Description
The Supreme HR Advisory is representing a well-established construction firm to recruit an experienced M&E Contract Manager for their ongoing residential and industrial projects. This is a pivotal role that requires a thorough understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, contract administration, and project management. The successful candidate will ensure seamless integration of M&E works into the overall project lifecycle, from tendering to handover.
Key aspects of the role include managing subcontractor agreements, monitoring project costs, preparing progress claims, and handling variation orders. You will also lead coordination meetings, resolve technical issues, and maintain compliance with all relevant codes and standards. The role is based in the Central Region of Singapore, offering easy access to various project sites.
We are looking for a candidate with at least 5 years of experience in M&E contract management, preferably in residential and/or industrial projects. Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills are essential. A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred. Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all M&E contracts for residential and industrial projects, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and project specifications.
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of M&E works.
- Prepare and review contract documents, including scope of work, budgets, and schedules.
- Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and resolving issues to prevent delays and cost overruns.
- Handle variation orders, claims, and final accounts, ensuring accurate documentation and valuation.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
- Liaise with clients and consultants to maintain strong working relationships and ensure client satisfaction.
- Provide leadership and guidance to junior quantity surveyors and contract staff.
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in M&E contract management within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of M&E systems and services in residential and/or industrial projects.
- Proven track record in cost management, contract administration, and procurement.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
- Membership in relevant professional bodies (e.g., SISV, IES) is an advantage.
