Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all operational aspects of Managing General Agent (MGA) partnerships to ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement technical service standards, workflows, and best practices for MGA-related activities.
- Monitor MGA performance metrics, conduct regular audits, and prepare detailed reports for senior management.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders (underwriting, claims, finance) to resolve complex issues and optimize MGA processes.
- Lead training and development initiatives for MGA partners on technical and compliance matters.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to systems and tools used in MGA management to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Manage a team of technical services professionals, providing guidance and fostering a culture of excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Insurance, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in insurance technical services, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of MGA business models, underwriting processes, and insurance regulations in Singapore.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to manage complex operational workflows.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with internal teams and external partners.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with insurance management systems.
- Professional certifications (e.g., ACII, ANZIIF, or equivalent) are highly desirable.
