Responsibilities
- Oversee and monitor all Managing General Agent (MGA) operations to ensure strict adherence to underwriting guidelines and internal protocols.
- Conduct regular performance audits and technical reviews to identify operational gaps and implement corrective actions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for MGA partners, providing technical guidance and ensuring alignment with MSIG’s corporate objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Legal, Compliance, and Finance to streamline reporting and governance frameworks.
- Prepare comprehensive management reports detailing MGA performance metrics, risk exposure, and efficiency gains.
- Support the design and implementation of new business initiatives, ensuring technical infrastructure is robust and scalable.
- Ensure that all MGA activities remain compliant with local regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in the insurance sector, with specific focus on underwriting operations or technical support.
- Proven track record in managing MGA relationships or complex broker partnerships.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements within the Singapore insurance market.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and drive process improvements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to influence and build rapport with internal and external partners.
- Professional certification (e.g., ACII, ANZIIF) would be a significant advantage.
