Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) invites applications for the role of Manager, Change Management, Communications & Engagement. This pivotal leadership position is based in Kuala Lumpur and provides strategic direction to ensure successful delivery of complex programs through effective decision-making, stakeholder alignment, and user adoption.
In this role, you will design and execute comprehensive change management plans that minimize disruption and maximize benefits. You will act as a bridge between project teams, business units, and executive sponsors to secure alignment on milestones, risks, and communications. Your responsibilities include shaping the communications strategy, developing clear messaging, and delivering engaging materials to enable informed decision-making and active participation across the organization.
You will lead stakeholder analysis, engagement activities, and governance forums, ensuring timely escalation of issues and implementation of mitigation actions. You will champion training, coaching, and support to ensure new processes are understood and adopted, with measurable improvements in performance and benefits realization.
Qualifications include demonstrated experience in large-scale change programs within financial services, strong writing and storytelling abilities, and a proven track record of influencing at senior levels. Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate enterprise-wide change management activities for strategic initiatives to ensure timely adoption and benefits realization.
- Develop and execute comprehensive communications strategies, plans, and materials that inform, engage, and motivate diverse audiences.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement, governance forums, and decision-making processes with transparency and accountability.
- Collaborate with project teams to assess readiness, design training programs, and enable smooth transitions to new processes.
- Monitor adoption metrics, manage risks and issues related to change, and implement continuous improvement actions.
- Build strong relationships with senior leaders, business units, and sponsors to align goals and expectations.
- Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and governance standards throughout change efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Change Management, or a related field; MBA or equivalent certification preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in change management, communications, or engagement within financial services or banking.
- Proven ability to influence at senior levels, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with formal change management methodologies (e.g., ADKAR, Prosci) and large-scale project delivery.
- Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, and training capabilities.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear messages and actionable plans.
- Professional certifications (PROSCI, PMP) are advantageous; fluency in English is essential (Malay language skills are a plus).
