Responsibilities
- Define and manage the strategic programme roadmap for the Airlines Business Vertical, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
- Establish and maintain robust project governance frameworks, including stage gates, reporting, and risk management protocols.
- Lead cross-functional planning sessions to prioritise initiatives, allocate resources, and resolve dependencies across multiple workstreams.
- Drive the end-to-end delivery of key programmes, from initiation through to closure, while monitoring progress and performance against milestones.
- Facilitate executive-level communication and decision-making by preparing dashboards, status reports, and presentation materials.
- Own the PMO centre of excellence, including the development of best practices, templates, and toolkits to standardise project management across the vertical.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, operational efficiency, and digital transformation within the planning and delivery lifecycle.
- Mentor and develop junior PMO staff and project leads, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field; Master’s degree or PMP/PRINCE2 certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum 7–10 years of progressive experience in project management, programme management, or PMO leadership, ideally within the aviation, airline, or ICT sectors.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale, cross-functional programmes with budget ownership exceeding MYR 5 million.
- Strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies, with hands-on experience using tools like JIRA, MS Project, or similar.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at the C-suite level.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making and reporting.
- Experience in digital transformation, IT infrastructure, or business process re-engineering projects is a strong plus.
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.
