Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans to increase SIMTech's footprint in the manufacturing and logistics sectors.
- Identify, cultivate, and manage high-value partnerships with industry players, SMEs, and multi-national corporations.
- Collaborate with internal R&D teams to translate technical capabilities into clear, market-ready value propositions.
- Negotiate partnership agreements, research collaboration contracts, and licensing opportunities to drive revenue and impact.
- Conduct market analysis to stay ahead of industry trends and identify gaps where SIMTech technologies can provide competitive advantages.
- Represent SIMTech at industry forums, networking events, and conferences to promote research capabilities.
- Manage the end-to-end sales cycle, from lead generation and proposal development to final contract closing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a relevant technical discipline.
- At least 5-8 years of experience in business development, technology commercialization, or industry account management.
- Strong understanding of the manufacturing, transport, and logistics sectors in Singapore.
- Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with a track record of building long-term business relationships.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, research-driven environment.
- Familiarity with public sector R&D funding models or technology transfer processes is a significant advantage.
