As a Tech-Biz Manager, you will play a key role in bridging the gap between research capabilities and market needs. You will manage technology transfer projects, develop business cases, and drive revenue growth through licensing, spin-offs, and collaborative R&D agreements. Your work will directly impact Singapore's economic competitiveness by enabling enterprises to leverage SIMTech's expertise in areas such as additive manufacturing, robotics, AI, and sustainable manufacturing.

Responsibilities
- Identify and develop strategic partnerships with industry players to drive collaborative R&D and technology adoption
- Manage technology transfer and commercialisation projects, including licensing, spin-offs, and joint ventures
- Conduct market analysis and competitive intelligence to identify new business opportunities in advanced manufacturing
- Prepare and present compelling business cases, proposals, and pitch decks to internal and external stakeholders
- Lead negotiations for research collaboration agreements, IP licensing terms, and funding proposals
- Coordinate with researchers and engineers to align technology development with market needs and industry roadmaps
- Monitor project milestones, KPIs, and financial targets to ensure successful delivery and impact
- Represent SIMTech at industry events, conferences, and networking platforms to enhance visibility and build relationships
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or Business; Master's degree or MBA is highly preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in technology commercialisation, business development, or industry partnerships
- Proven track record in managing multi-stakeholder projects and negotiating complex agreements
- Strong business acumen with ability to evaluate technical feasibility and market potential
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with fluency in English (additional languages are a plus)
- Deep understanding of manufacturing technologies (e.g., robotics, additive manufacturing, advanced materials)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional, research-driven environment
- Experience with government funding schemes and IP management is an advantage
