Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the work of a team of translators
- Translate written materials from Mandarin to English and vice versa with high accuracy
- Review and edit translations to ensure quality and consistency
- Develop and maintain translation glossaries and style guides
- Manage translation projects, including timelines and resource allocation
- Collaborate with various departments to understand translation requirements
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive materials
- Stay updated on linguistic trends and industry terminology
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or related field
- Proven experience as a translator with at least 3 years in a supervisory role
- Fluency in both Mandarin and English with excellent writing skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy under pressure
- Experience with translation software and tools
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of business terminology in both languages
