Join PERSOL as a Manufacturing Technician for a 12-month contract role based in Singapore’s East Region. In this hands-on position, you will work Monday to Friday, utilising routine work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, parts lists, wire lists, and both written and verbal instructions to build, assemble, and test electronic and mechanical components. You’ll be an integral part of a dynamic manufacturing team, ensuring quality standards are met and production targets are achieved. Responsibilities
- Interpret and follow work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, and parts lists to assemble and wire electromechanical assemblies.
- Perform routine testing and inspection of manufactured components to ensure they meet quality specifications.
- Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical and mechanical issues using hand tools and testing equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of production activities, including build logs, test results, and defect reports.
- Keep work area clean, organised, and compliant with safety and 5S standards.
- Collaborate with engineers and senior technicians to improve assembly processes and resolve technical problems.
- Assist in inventory management by verifying parts and materials against work orders.
Qualifications
- NITEC, Higher NITEC, or Diploma in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent).
- Prior experience (1–3 years) in a manufacturing, assembly, or technician role is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Proficient in using basic hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments (e.g., multimeter, caliper).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety procedures.
- Good communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
- Physically fit to stand for extended periods and lift up to 15 kg when required.
- Willingness to work Monday to Friday (day shift) and overtime when necessary.
