Job Description

LAPP APAC, a globally recognized leader in cable and connectivity technology, is looking for a motivated Material Handler to support our manufacturing hub in Tuas. In this role, you will ensure that our cable harnessing production lines have a constant and accurate supply of raw materials, enabling us to deliver high-quality products to our customers.

Your daily tasks will include the receipt and inspection of incoming deliveries, proper storage and labeling of materials, and timely issuance to production areas. You will operate material handling equipment such as counterbalance forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks. Using our inventory management system (SAP), you will maintain precise inventory data, conduct regular cycle counts, and assist in stock reconciliation. You will also collaborate with the procurement and production planning teams to anticipate material needs and communicate any discrepancies.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and store incoming raw materials and supplies.
  • Pick, pack, and issue materials to production lines according to work orders.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and perform cycle counts.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
  • Organize warehouse layout to optimize space and accessibility.
  • Coordinate with production and procurement teams to ensure timely material supply.
  • Follow all safety and quality procedures to maintain a clean work environment.
  • Assist in the preparation of shipments and documentation as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in logistics or supply chain is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Material Handler, Warehouse Operator, or similar role.
  • Valid forklift license and safe driving record.
  • Ability to lift heavy items and stand for long periods.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management software (e.g., SAP or WMS).
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility to work shifts if required.
