The Municipal Government of Baliuag, Bulacan is actively seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Midwife II to be deployed to health facilities within the Ilocos Region. Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive midwifery services including prenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care to clients in assigned barangays and health centers.
  • Conduct normal spontaneous deliveries and manage obstetric emergencies in coordination with physicians and hospitals.
  • Implement the Family Planning Program by administering contraceptives, providing counseling, and facilitating referrals.
  • Administer routine childhood immunizations and micronutrient supplementation (e.g., Vitamin A, Iron) following the DOH protocol.
  • Conduct community health assessments, health education sessions, and mother's classes on breastfeeding, hygiene, and nutrition.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, maternal health logs, and monthly reports for the Rural Health Unit.
  • Coordinate and provide technical supervision to Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) and support traditional birth attendants (hilot) in the community.
  • Participate in disease surveillance, outbreak response, and other public health campaigns as needed.

Qualifications

  • Must be a Filipino citizen and of good moral character.
  • Must be a Registered Midwife (RA 1080) with a valid PRC license.
  • Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Midwifery (BS Midwifery) from a recognized institution.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in midwifery practice (required for Midwife II level).
  • Preferably with 4 hours of relevant training in maternal and child health or family planning.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and community organizing skills.
  • Willing to be assigned in remote and geographically isolated areas within the Ilocos Region.
  • Must not have been convicted of any administrative offense or crime involving moral turpitude.
