Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive primary and secondary market research on mining and quarrying machinery trends across the Philippines and Southeast Asia.
- Identify and profile key industry players, manufacturers, and distributors of heavy equipment.
- Perform price benchmarking and technical specification analysis for various equipment categories such as excavators, crushers, and haul trucks.
- Maintain a structured database of market intelligence, ensuring all data points are verified and up-to-date.
- Monitor global regulatory changes and environmental standards affecting the quarrying and mining equipment industry.
- Prepare detailed monthly reports and visual presentations for stakeholders to support procurement and investment strategies.
- Liaise with industry experts and vendors to gather qualitative insights into equipment performance and reliability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Research, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in market research, ideally within the industrial, construction, or mining sectors.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex technical data.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools and advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Data Modeling).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English for professional reporting.
- Ability to work independently under a contract/temporary framework with minimal supervision.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to data integrity.
- Familiarity with the local mining landscape in Central Visayas is a significant advantage.
