Responsibilities
- Manage and process motor accident claims efficiently from first notification to final settlement, adhering to company policies and industry regulations.
- Conduct thorough investigations to determine liability, assess damages, and gather necessary documentation and evidence.
- Communicate clearly and empathetically with policyholders, workshops, and third parties to provide updates, resolve queries, and explain claim processes.
- Negotiate settlements with claimants and third-party insurers in accordance with policy terms, ensuring fair and equitable resolutions.
- Ensure all claims are handled in compliance with regulatory requirements, internal guidelines, and service level agreements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date claims records, documentation, and system entries for audit and reporting purposes.
- Identify and escalate complex, high-value, or potentially fraudulent claims to senior management for review and guidance.
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the claims department to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Business, Insurance, Law, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in motor insurance claims handling, preferably within a multinational corporation (MNC) setting.
- Strong understanding of Singapore's motor insurance policies, regulations, and industry practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with a customer-centric approach.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, negotiate effectively, and resolve conflicts professionally.
- Proficiency in using claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a dynamic, target-driven environment.
- Possession of relevant insurance certifications (e.g., General Insurance, BCP, ComGI) will be an advantage.
