About the Role
Our client is looking for a skilled Network Engineer to join their dynamic team in the Central Region of Singapore. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust network infrastructure that supports the company's business objectives. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure high availability, security, and performance across all network services.
What You’ll Do
As a Network Engineer, you will be at the forefront of network operations, tackling complex challenges and driving continuous improvement. Your days will involve configuring routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN solutions, as well as monitoring network traffic and resolving incidents swiftly to minimize downtime.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage LAN/WAN, wireless, and VPN infrastructures in accordance with best‑practice standards.
- Configure and maintain Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers across multiple sites.
- Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies.
- Respond to network incidents, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and provide timely resolution.
- Develop and document network designs, configurations, and procedures.
- Collaborate with IT security teams to enforce network security policies and compliance.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience (2+ years) as a Network Engineer or similar role.
- Strong hands‑on knowledge of Cisco IOS, routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP), and VLANs.
- Familiarity with firewall platforms (e.g., Fortinet, Palo Alto) and VPN technologies.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+ are advantageous.
