Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and deploy local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and wireless networks.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and implement proactive maintenance.
- Install and configure network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Manage network security policies, including VLANs, ACLs, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Conduct regular network audits and capacity planning to ensure scalability and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT infrastructure projects and migrations.
- Document network topologies, configurations, and change management procedures.
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours network support and incident response.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- At least 2–3 years of hands-on experience as a Network Engineer or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), and switching (STP, VLAN).
- Experience with Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent networking equipment.
- Professional certification such as CCNA, CCNP, or JNCIA is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG) and firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
