Job Description
Asticom is seeking a skilled and proactive Network Field Engineer to support telecommunications projects in the Bohol and Negros regions. In this contract-based role, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality network performance through hands-on field engineering, asset validation, and site execution. You will work closely with project teams to perform PAT (Product Acceptance Testing), resolve technical escalations, and uphold network quality standards. This role is ideal for a telecom professional who thrives in dynamic field environments and is committed to delivering reliable connectivity solutions.
You will be based in Bacolod City, with travel across Negros Occidental and Bohol as needed. As a key field representative, you will handle end-to-end site activities from initial validation to final handover, ensuring all installations meet company and regulatory requirements. Your efforts will directly impact the reliability and speed of telecom services in these growing regions.
Responsibilities
- Perform Product Acceptance Testing (PAT) for new and upgraded network sites following strict technical specifications.
- Conduct asset validation and inventory checks at field locations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Execute site installation, configuration, and commissioning activities for telecommunications equipment.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues on-site, escalating complex problems to senior engineers.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely project delivery.
- Prepare detailed field reports, documentation, and handover packages for completed works.
- Enforce safety protocols and quality standards at all field operations.
- Travel regularly across assignment areas to manage multiple sites and provide on-ground support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 2 years of experience in telecommunications field engineering, network rollout, or site management.
- Hands-on experience with PAT, asset validation, and site acceptance processes.
- Strong knowledge of telecom equipment (e.g., base stations, antennas, fiber optics, power systems).
- Willingness to travel extensively within Bohol and Negros regions; must have a valid driver's license.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills under pressure.
- Proficiency in preparing technical documentation and reports.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and quality assurance in telecom projects.
