Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network connectivity issues and hardware malfunctions promptly.
- Configure and manage network equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Perform regular system updates, security patches, and firmware upgrades to maintain network integrity.
- Document network configurations, operational procedures, and incident resolution steps in the knowledge base.
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to support project rollouts and system integrations.
- Monitor network traffic and security logs to identify potential threats or bottlenecks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in network administration or technical support.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and VLAN configurations.
- Familiarity with network security protocols and firewall management (e.g., Cisco, Fortinet, or similar).
- Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark, or Nagios).
- Proven ability to analyze technical issues and provide effective, long-term solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Industry certifications such as CCNA or CompTIA Network+ are highly preferred.
