Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment programs for elderly patients.
- Conduct thorough functional assessments to identify patient needs and set realistic rehabilitation goals.
- Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and physiotherapists to provide seamless, multidisciplinary care.
- Provide training and education to caregivers and family members on adaptive techniques and safety equipment.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with hospital standards.
- Participate in team meetings and case conferences to review patient progress and optimize care plans.
- Utilize evidence-based practices to improve cognitive, physical, and sensory function in geriatric patients.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Full registration with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) in Singapore.
- Minimum 1-2 years of clinical experience, preferably in a hospital or geriatric care setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with elderly patients.
- Proficiency in functional assessment tools and assistive technology.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary healthcare environment.
