Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end ocean freight export/import shipments, including booking, documentation, and customs clearance.
- Coordinate with carriers, co-loaders, and overseas agents to ensure timely vessel space and competitive rates.
- Proactively monitor shipment status and resolve any operational bottlenecks to ensure on-time delivery.
- Maintain accurate shipment records and data within our global freight management system.
- Prepare and verify shipping documents (Bills of Lading, Invoices, Packing Lists) to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Provide prompt and professional communication to clients regarding shipment updates and troubleshooting.
- Support the team in cost control initiatives and vendor performance management.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in ocean freight forwarding or shipping operations.
- Strong understanding of Incoterms, international trade regulations, and ocean freight market dynamics.
- Proficiency in using freight forwarding software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and overseas counterparts.
- Proven ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving and organizational capabilities.
