Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess patients' visual acuity and eye health
- Prescribe and fit corrective lenses, including eyeglasses and contact lenses
- Assist customers with frame selection, ensuring optimal fit and style preferences
- Manage inventory of optical products, including lenses, frames, and contact lenses
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service and build lasting relationships with patients
- Stay current with latest optometric technologies and industry trends
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
Qualifications
- Degree in Optometry from an accredited institution
- Valid optometry license and registration with the relevant Malaysian board
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to explain complex concepts clearly
- Previous experience in retail optical sales or customer service preferred
- Knowledge of various optical products, lens technologies, and frame materials
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as required
- Strong attention to detail and precision in measurements and prescriptions
