You will conduct comprehensive eye examinations, assess visual health, and recommend appropriate corrective lenses or treatments. Working closely with our support staff, you will ensure a smooth patient journey from testing to fitting and after‑care. Responsibilities include performing accurate refraction and ocular health assessments, interpreting diagnostic results, prescribing and fitting eyeglasses, contact lenses, and specialty lenses, as well as educating patients on lens care, UV protection, and preventive eye health practices. You will maintain meticulous patient records, adhere to regulatory standards, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic care.

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and vision tests to assess ocular health and visual acuity.
- Prescribe and fit corrective lenses, eyeglasses, and contact lenses based on patient needs.
- Diagnose and manage common ocular conditions and refer patients to specialists when necessary.
- Educate patients on eye health, proper lens usage, UV protection, and preventive care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Calibrate and maintain optometric equipment to guarantee accurate readings.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated patient care.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Optometry from an accredited institution.
- Valid registration with the Singapore Optometrists and Opticians Board (SOOB) or equivalent.
- Minimum 1‑2 years of clinical experience in an optometry practice or retail setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centered service.
- Proficiency in using modern optometric instruments and electronic health record systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Flexibility to cover part‑time hours, including weekends and public holidays if required.
