Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex Oracle database objects including stored procedures, packages, functions, and triggers.
- Optimize SQL queries and PL/SQL code to ensure maximum performance and scalability using EXPLAIN PLAN and various tuning tools.
- Implement advanced PL/SQL features such as collections, VARRAYs, and bulk processing to handle large volumes of data efficiently.
- Collaborate with application developers to design efficient database schemas and integrate backend logic with front-end applications.
- Develop and implement robust exception handling and logging frameworks to ensure system stability and ease of troubleshooting.
- Perform data migration, ETL processes, and database version control within a structured SDLC environment.
- Conduct code reviews and provide technical mentorship to junior developers to maintain high coding standards.
- Analyze existing database systems to identify bottlenecks and propose architectural improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience as an Oracle PL/SQL Developer.
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL, including advanced sub-queries, complex joins, and analytical functions.
- Deep hands-on experience with PL/SQL collections, VARRAY, record types, and cursor management.
- Proven track record in database performance tuning and optimization in an Oracle 12c or 19c environment.
- Solid understanding of relational database design (ERD), normalization, and indexing strategies.
- Experience with Oracle built-in packages and dynamic SQL.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
