Komatsu East Malaysia Sdn Bhd, an authorized dealer for Komatsu, Bomag & LS machinery, is seeking a motivated Parts Sales Officer to join its growing team in Sandakan, Sabah. In this role, you will be the vital link between our worldâclass heavyâequipment portfolio and customers who rely on reliable parts and service to keep their operations running smoothly. You will leverage your sales acumen and technical knowledge to drive parts revenue, build lasting relationships with clients, and contribute to the overall success of the dealership.
As a Parts Sales Officer, you will receive comprehensive training on Komatsuâs extensive parts catalog, enabling you to recommend the right components for excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and other machinery. Your dayâtoâday activities will involve proactive outreach, quotation preparation, order processing, and afterâsales support. You will work closely with the service and workshop teams to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities
- Generate and follow up on sales leads for genuine Komatsu, Bomag & LS parts.
- Prepare accurate quotations and process sales orders in the ERP system.
- Maintain and expand a customer base through regular visits, calls, and email communication.
- Provide technical advice to customers on part selection, compatibility, and availability.
- Coordinate with the warehouse and service departments to ensure timely parts delivery.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets and contribute to overall dealership profitability.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
- Prepare sales reports and maintain accurate records of customer interactions.
Qualifications
- Minimum SPM or equivalent; a diploma in Business, Marketing, Engineering or a related field is advantageous.
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in automotive, industrial equipment, or spare parts.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to build rapport with diverse clientele.
- Basic understanding of heavy machinery and its components is a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with CRM/ERP systems.
- Selfâmotivated, targetâdriven, and capable of working independently as well as in a team.
- Willingness to travel within Sabah for customer visits and market activities.
- Valid motorcycle or car licence (depending on territory coverage).
