Job Description

Komatsu East Malaysia Sdn Bhd, an authorized dealer for Komatsu, Bomag and LS, is seeking a motivated Parts Sales Officer to join our dynamic team in Tawau, Sabah. In this role, you will drive the sales of heavy equipment parts, provide expert advice to customers, and ensure exceptional service standards that support the operational success of our clients in the construction, mining, and infrastructure sectors.

You will collaborate closely with sales, service, and parts departments to identify business opportunities, maintain strong relationships with existing customers, and contribute to the growth of our parts business. The ideal candidate is a self‑starter with a passion for sales, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of heavy equipment components.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the sales of parts and accessories to new and existing customers, achieving monthly sales targets.
  • Provide technical product advice and recommend appropriate parts solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and inventory levels.
  • Coordinate with the parts warehouse to ensure timely availability and delivery of parts.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with key accounts, contractors, and fleet operators.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and pricing to identify growth opportunities.
  • Support the team in achieving department KPI’s and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Sales, Marketing, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 1–2 years of experience in parts sales, preferably within the heavy equipment or automotive industry.
  • Familiarity with parts catalogs, heavy equipment models, and component identification.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer‑focused attitude.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic CRM software.
  • Valid driving license and ability to travel within the Tawau region.
  • Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and capable of working under minimal supervision.
  • Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; additional local dialects is a plus.
