Responsibilities
- Assist patients with mobility, including transfers from beds to wheelchairs or examination tables.
- Monitor and record basic patient observations such as vital signs, temperature, and blood pressure.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary environment in patient rooms and treatment areas.
- Provide non-clinical emotional support and companionship to patients undergoing cancer treatment.
- Assist nursing staff with medical equipment preparation and the setup of treatment rooms.
- Ensure patient privacy and dignity are maintained at all times during personal care tasks.
- Report any changes in patient condition or concerns immediately to the supervising Registered Nurse.
- Help with administrative support and patient record-keeping as required by the nursing team.
Qualifications
- Minimum SPM qualification or relevant certification in Healthcare/Nursing aid.
- Prior experience in a hospital or clinical setting is highly preferred, specifically in oncology or geriatric care.
- Demonstrated empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for patient care.
- Strong command of English and Bahasa Malaysia to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced medical environment.
- Physical stamina to assist with patient movement and standing for extended shifts.
- Commitment to following strict infection control and safety protocols.
- Reliable, punctual, and a proactive team player.
