Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications, verify dosages, and review patient profiles for contraindications, allergies, and drug interactions.
- Provide comprehensive patient counseling on medication usage, potential side effects, storage, and adherence to treatment plans.
- Oversee and manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications, ensuring proper storage conditions and minimizing waste.
- Maintain strict adherence to all local and national pharmaceutical laws, regulations, and professional practice standards set by the Board of Pharmacy.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to resolve medication-related issues and ensure optimal patient care outcomes.
- Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians and support staff, ensuring efficient workflow and compliance with operational procedures.
- Administer immunizations and other patient care services as authorized and trained.
- Handle patient inquiries and complaints professionally and efficiently, providing solutions or escalating as necessary.
Qualifications
- Must hold a valid and current Pharmacist License issued by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) in the Philippines.
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience as a Licensed Pharmacist, preferably in a community or retail pharmacy setting.
- Profound knowledge of pharmaceutical laws, regulations, and ethical standards in the Philippines.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient counseling skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing medications and maintaining records.
- Proficiency in using pharmacy management software and basic computer applications.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
