Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in the accurate preparation, packing, and labeling of prescriptions and medications.
- Manage frontline counter services, including patient registration, billing, and handling general inquiries.
- Perform comprehensive inventory management, monitoring stock levels and conducting regular stock-takes to prevent shortages.
- Ensure the pharmacy environment is kept clean, organized, and strictly compliant with healthcare safety regulations.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and medication transitions.
- Execute proper storage of medications, specifically monitoring those requiring sensitive cold-chain management.
- Handle essential administrative duties such as data entry and the digital processing of prescription orders.
- Maintain high levels of confidentiality regarding patient information and medical records.
Qualifications
- Possess a Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science (for Technician roles) or GCE 'N', 'O', or 'A' levels (for Assistant roles).
- Prior experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting is highly advantageous but not always mandatory.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively and empathetically with patients.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle high volumes of prescriptions with accuracy.
- Meticulous attention to detail with a high degree of precision in medication handling and counting.
- Willingness to work on rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays as required by the facility.
