Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists in the accurate preparation, packing, and labeling of prescriptions and medications.
  • Manage frontline counter services, including patient registration, billing, and handling general inquiries.
  • Perform comprehensive inventory management, monitoring stock levels and conducting regular stock-takes to prevent shortages.
  • Ensure the pharmacy environment is kept clean, organized, and strictly compliant with healthcare safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and medication transitions.
  • Execute proper storage of medications, specifically monitoring those requiring sensitive cold-chain management.
  • Handle essential administrative duties such as data entry and the digital processing of prescription orders.
  • Maintain high levels of confidentiality regarding patient information and medical records.

Qualifications

  • Possess a Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science (for Technician roles) or GCE 'N', 'O', or 'A' levels (for Assistant roles).
  • Prior experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting is highly advantageous but not always mandatory.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively and empathetically with patients.
