Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws on patients of all ages.
- Label, store, and transport blood specimens according to laboratory protocols.
- Prepare and maintain phlebotomy equipment, ensuring sterilization and readiness for use.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration.
- Assist nurses and physicians with basic patient care activities such as wound dressing and patient comfort measures.
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and ensure confidentiality of patient information.
- Adhere to infection‑control policies, including proper use of PPE and hand hygiene.
- Provide clear instructions and reassurance to patients, especially those who are anxious about blood draws.
Qualifications
- Valid phlebotomy certification or registered nurse license.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in blood collection or clinical nursing.
- Fluent in Mandarin and English; additional languages are a plus.
- Strong knowledge of infection‑control and safety procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
