About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Physiotherapist / Occupational Therapist to join our vibrant team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing personalized therapeutic programmes that enhance the physical, cognitive, and functional abilities of our residents. From geriatric rehabilitation to customized care plans, your expertise will directly contribute to improving their quality of life and maximizing their functional independence.
Key Responsibilities
You will conduct comprehensive initial and ongoing assessments, design individualized treatment plans, and provide direct therapeutic interventions. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care and will play a key role in educating families and caregivers on rehabilitative exercises and strategies.

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents' physical, cognitive, and functional abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on residents' specific needs and goals.
- Perform regular routine assessments on in-house residents who may require physiotherapy or occupational therapy services.
- Provide hands-on therapy interventions including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and functional training.
- Prescribe and recommend assistive devices and adaptive equipment to improve residents' independence and safety.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including nurses, doctors, and caregivers to ensure holistic care.
- Educate family members and caregivers on resident care plans and home exercise programs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation and reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Valid registration with the Malaysian Allied Health Professions Council (MAHPC) or eligibility for registration.
- Proven experience in a clinical setting, preferably in geriatric care, rehabilitation, or long-term care.
- Strong clinical reasoning and assessment skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
- Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to improving the quality of life for the elderly.
- Ability to work both independently and as an effective team player in a fast-paced environment.
