Job Description

This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for the end-to-end management of plant operations, ensuring alignment with JFC's global standards of excellence in food safety, quality, and efficiency.

As a key member of the manufacturing leadership team, your role is crucial in supporting JFC's network expansion and delivering the highest quality products to millions of customers across the globe. You will be responsible for optimizing resources, managing multi-million peso budgets, and ensuring strict compliance with all Philippine FDA, DOLE, and DENR regulations as well as international food safety standards (HACCP, ISO, FSSC).

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all daily plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality assurance, warehousing, and logistics, ensuring maximum efficiency and productivity.
  • Develop and execute strategic operational plans to meet aggressive production targets, cost reduction goals, and world-class quality standards.
  • Ensure rigorous adherence to food safety and sanitation protocols (HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000) and all applicable local regulatory requirements.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of department heads, supervisors, and line leaders, fostering a culture of safety, engagement, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage the plant's P&L, including budget preparation, cost control, capital expenditure planning, and resource optimization to maximize profitability.
  • Drive the implementation of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TQM, and other operational excellence methodologies to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, R&D, and Corporate Strategic teams to align plant capabilities with business demands, seasonal peaks, and new product introductions.
  • Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Morale, reporting progress to senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical, or related), Food Technology, or Business Management. An MBA or Master's degree is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a Plant Manager or Senior Operations Manager role within the Food & Beverage (F&B) industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety management systems (HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000) and Philippine regulatory compliance (FDA, DOLE, DENR standards).
  • Proven track record in applying Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement frameworks to deliver tangible results in cost savings and efficiency.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large, diverse teams (500+ employees) and drive high levels of employee engagement and development.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a data-driven approach to management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Willingness to be based full-time in Davao City and work a flexible schedule as needed.
