Job Description
HKSM Sports Sdn Bhd is seeking a detailâoriented and resultsâdriven PMC Manager to lead our Material Planning & Control team in NibongâŻTebal, Penang. In this role, you will act as the primary point of contact for all materialârelated matters, orchestrating the endâtoâend supply chain from demand forecasting to onâtime delivery of raw materials and components.
You will collaborate closely with Production, Procurement, Quality and Warehouse teams to ensure seamless material flow, minimise stockouts and reduce excess inventory. Your expertise in MRP/ERP systems and dataâdriven planning will drive continuous improvement initiatives, supporting our commitment to operational excellence and timely order fulfilment.
Key responsibilities include developing material requirement plans, monitoring inventory levels, managing supplier performance and implementing costâeffective sourcing strategies. By leveraging strong analytical skills and a proactive mindset, you will help the business achieve its production targets while maintaining high quality standards.
Working in a fastâpaced manufacturing environment, you will be expected to handle multiple priorities, adapt quickly to changing demand and lead crossâfunctional projects. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record in material planning, a solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles and the ability to communicate effectively across all organisational levels.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain material requirement plans aligned with production schedules and sales forecasts.
- Coordinate with procurement and suppliers to guarantee timely delivery of raw materials, components and packaging.
- Monitor inventory levels, perform cycle counts and implement actions to reduce excess and obsolete stock.
- Leverage MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) to track demand, supply and inventory data.
- Collaborate with production, quality and logistics teams to resolve material issues and ensure continuous flow.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including lean practices, costâreduction projects and supplier performance reviews.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of handsâon experience in material planning, procurement or production control within a manufacturing setting.
- Proficient in MRP/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, generate forecasts and develop actionable plans.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience implementing lean or Six Sigma methodologies is an added advantage.
- Detailâoriented, selfâmotivated and capable of working under tight deadlines.
