Responsibilities
- Manage, monitor, and support critical L2/L3 network infrastructure across 1-Net's data centers and cloud environments.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting, diagnosis, and resolution of complex network issues involving routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Implement network changes, upgrades, and configurations in accordance with ITIL best practices and stringent change management processes.
- Monitor network performance, capacity, and security, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues and vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams (Cloud, Systems, Security) and external vendors to ensure seamless service delivery and problem resolution.
- Contribute to network design, architecture reviews, and the successful implementation of new network solutions and technologies.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, diagrams, and standard operational procedures (SOPs).
- Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 operational support for critical network services and ensure high availability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 8+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering, with a strong focus on L2/L3 operations and support.
- Expertise in configuring and managing network devices from leading vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or F5.
- In-depth knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), switching technologies (VLANs, STP, HSRP/VRRP), and network security concepts (firewalls, VPNs, IPS/IDS).
- Proven experience with data center networking, cloud networking (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), and managed services environments.
- Relevant industry certifications such as CCNP, JNCIP, CCIE, or equivalent are highly preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills in complex, mission-critical network environments.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills, with the ability to articulate technical issues clearly.
