Responsibilities
- Manage procurement activities including sourcing, ordering, and tracking of construction materials and equipment
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites
- Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to achieve cost-effective procurement solutions
- Maintain accurate procurement records, documentation, and inventory tracking systems
- Collaborate with project managers to understand material requirements and specifications
- Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement procedures
- Resolve procurement-related issues and address any delivery discrepancies promptly
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in procurement or purchasing within the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes and supplier management
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail
- Proficient in MS Office applications and procurement software
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
