In this role, you will partner with internal stakeholders to understand production needs, develop strategic procurement plans, and drive cost savings while maintaining quality and compliance. You will manage supplier relationships, evaluate bids, issue purchase orders, monitor delivery performance, and resolve any supply disruptions promptly. The ideal candidate is data-driven, detail-oriented, and collaborative, with strong communication skills and a track record of delivering value in a manufacturing or logistics environment.

Responsibilities
- Source, evaluate, and select suppliers to meet material requirements and production schedules
- Negotiate terms, prices, and contracts to achieve best value and service levels
- Prepare, issue, and track purchase orders; manage order confirmations and changes
- Monitor supplier performance, on-time delivery, quality, and compliance
- Conduct cost analyses and identify savings opportunities across direct and indirect spend
- Collaborate with production, quality assurance, and logistics to ensure material readiness
- Maintain accurate procurement data in ERP systems and generate regular reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, logistics, or a related field
- Proven procurement experience in manufacturing or logistics environments
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel
- Analytical mindset with ability to analyze costs, supplier performance, and risk
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Knowledge of local supplier markets in Malaysia and regulatory requirements
