Knight Auto Precision Engineering Pte Ltd, a leading provider of precision engineering solutions in Singapore, is currently seeking a dedicated Procurement Executive to join our team on a 1-year contract basis. In this role, you will be a key player in our supply chain operations, ensuring the procurement of high-quality materials and services at optimal costs while maintaining strict compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
You will manage the end-to-end sourcing process, including supplier identification, evaluation, contract negotiation, and ongoing relationship management. Your ability to analyze market trends, negotiate favorable terms, and coordinate with internal stakeholders will directly impact the efficiency and profitability of our manufacturing operations. This position requires someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in procurement, ideally within the manufacturing or precision engineering industry. There is the potential for contract extension based on performance and business needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to optimize cost, quality, and delivery
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers using a structured approach based on performance and risk
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to achieve best overall value
- Process purchase orders and expedite deliveries to ensure timely availability of materials
- Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and coordinate with production and planning teams
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements
- Conduct market research to stay abreast of industry trends, pricing, and new supplier opportunities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of procurement experience, preferably in manufacturing or precision engineering
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Sound understanding of procurement regulations and best practices
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and integrity
