Job Description
Straitdeer is seeking a results-driven Procurement Manager for its Data Center division. You will lead global sourcing for critical data center components, including GPUs, servers, racks, cooling systems, power distribution, and related infrastructure.
In this role, you will drive cost optimization, supplier selection, and contract negotiations to secure reliable supply for mission-critical facilities across regions. You will collaborate with IT, facilities, finance, and operations to forecast demand, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with procurement policies and vendor risk management standards.
As a data center procurement leader, you will own supplier relationships, implement vendor scorecards, and lead strategic sourcing initiatives that reduce total cost of ownership while maintaining quality and service levels. Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end procurement for data center infrastructure including GPUs, servers, racks, cooling, power, and related hardware.
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans to optimize cost of ownership and supplier performance across regions.
- Negotiate contracts, SLAs, and favorable terms with key vendors; manage RFx processes and supplier onboarding.
- Collaborate with IT, facilities, and finance to align demand forecasting, budgeting, and inventory management.
- Manage supplier relationships, drive performance through scorecards, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor risk, ensure compliance with policies, and oversee vendor governance and contract compliance.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the procurement team, and report on savings and KPIs to senior leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, procurement, engineering, or related field; professional certification (CIPS, CPSM) preferred.
- 5+ years of procurement or supply chain experience, preferably in data center, IT hardware, or manufacturing/logistics.
- Strong negotiation, contracting, and supplier management skills.
- Deep knowledge of data center components including GPUs, servers, racks, cooling, and power systems.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and procurement tools; data-driven mindset and solid Excel skills.
- Ability to work across global teams, influence stakeholders, and manage competing priorities; willingness to travel if required.
- Understanding of vendor risk management, compliance, and safety/regulatory standards in data center operations.
