Are you a strategic leader with a passion for IT distribution and vendor management? Westcon-Comstor is seeking a dynamic Product Manager to join our team in Malaysia. In this pivotal role, you will be the driving force behind our product strategy, responsible for achieving aggressive revenue and Gross Profit (GP) targets while fostering high-level relationships with key stakeholders and vendors.
You will act as the primary bridge between our organization and vendor management teams, ensuring that our product portfolio remains competitive and aligned with market demands. This is a high-visibility opportunity to influence our growth trajectory, optimize product life cycles, and deliver exceptional value to our enterprise partners across the region.
Responsibilities
- Drive the end-to-end strategy for assigned product portfolios to meet and exceed revenue and GP targets.
- Cultivate and maintain high-level, strategic relationships with vendor management teams and internal stakeholders.
- Conduct regular joint visits with vendor representatives to identify market opportunities and support the sales cycle.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to refine product positioning and go-to-market strategies.
- Manage inventory, pricing structures, and product promotions to maximize profitability.
- Coordinate with marketing and sales teams to develop effective campaigns and product launches.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts and performance reports for executive management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in product management, preferably within the ICT or distribution sector.
- Proven track record of achieving financial targets and managing complex vendor relationships.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and financial KPIs.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to travel and engage with stakeholders across Malaysia.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced Excel skills preferred).
