Responsibilities
- Assist the Associate Producer (AP) in all phases of television production, from conceptualization and pre-production planning to on-site filming and post-production editing.
- Support the development and refinement of scripts, including detailed script breakdown, scene scheduling, and talent coordination.
- Aid in logistics and coordination for production shoots, including location scouting, securing permits, and managing equipment.
- Provide crucial on-set support, assisting with setup, managing props, handling talent liaison, and ensuring smooth daily operations.
- Conduct research for program content, identify potential story ideas, and gather necessary background information to enrich productions.
- Support post-production workflows by logging footage, assisting with basic editing tasks, and organizing media assets.
- Liaise with various internal departments and external vendors to ensure timely delivery of production requirements.
- Perform general administrative duties to ensure the efficient running of the production team.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a Diploma or Degree in Film & Television Production, Mass Communication, Media Studies, or a related field.
- A strong passion for the media industry, television production, and specifically, Tamil language content.
- Excellent command of the Tamil language (written, spoken, and comprehension) is essential to the role.
- Basic understanding of the production process, including pre-production, production, and post-production stages.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and proactively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative team-player attitude.
- Proficiency in basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite). Familiarity with production software is a plus.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours and on weekends or public holidays as required by production schedules.
