Production Manager – Exciting Opportunity in Cosmetics Manufacturing

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Production Manager to lead and optimise production operations. As Production Manager, you will oversee the entire production lifecycle – from planning and scheduling to quality control and team management. Your primary objective will be to ensure that manufacturing processes run smoothly, efficiently, and in full compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory standards. You will be responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives, managing production budgets, and fostering a culture of safety and excellence across the shop floor.

Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and direct daily production activities to meet output targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules.
- Implement and enforce GMP, safety, and environmental policies within the production area.
- Monitor production KPIs (yield, downtime, OEE) and lead root-cause analysis for any deviations.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a diverse team of supervisors and line operators.
- Collaborate with quality assurance, procurement, and logistics to ensure seamless material flow and product integrity.
- Lead lean manufacturing and continuous improvement projects (e.g., Kaizen, Six Sigma) to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
- Prepare monthly production reports and present performance insights to senior management.
- Maintain accurate production records and ensure compliance with all regulatory documentation requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive production management experience in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, or FMCG manufacturing.
- Strong working knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and ISO 22716 (or similar) standards.
- Proven leadership and people management skills, with experience leading teams of 20+.
- Demonstrated success in implementing lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and production planning tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills in English; proficiency in Malay is an advantage.
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher) is strongly preferred.
