As a Production Planner, you will partner with procurement, production, and logistics teams to balance demand with available capacity and materials. You will maintain accurate master production schedules, monitor key performance indicators, and implement continuous improvements to reduce lead times and inventory costs. The position leverages ERP/MIS tools to plan, track, and report on production performance, while adhering to safety and quality standards. Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain feasible production schedules to meet customer demand and on-time delivery targets.
- Coordinate with procurement, production, and logistics to balance capacity, materials, and lead times.
- Monitor material availability, optimize BOMs and routing, and manage inventory levels.
- Update and maintain master production plans using ERP/MRP systems; track performance against KPIs.
- Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to improve throughput and efficiency.
- Communicate plans and changes clearly to shop floor, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare regular production reports, capacity plans, and scenario analyses for management reviews.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 2+ years of production planning experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable plans.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage changing priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with carton packaging or FMCG industries is a plus.
