Responsibilities
- Oversee daily production floor operations to ensure targets are met on time and within quality specifications.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise production workers and machine operators to maintain high morale and performance levels.
- Monitor machine performance and coordinate with maintenance teams for prompt repairs and preventive maintenance scheduling.
- Enforce strict compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) standards and company policies.
- Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements to increase operational efficiency.
- Manage shift schedules, attendance, and resource allocation to ensure optimal staffing levels.
- Prepare comprehensive shift reports detailing production output, downtime, and material usage for management review.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of production machinery, assembly processes, and manufacturing best practices.
- Proven ability to lead diverse teams and resolve personnel issues professionally.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical instructions clearly.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office) for reporting and data tracking.
- Willingness to work in rotating shifts and handle high-pressure production environments.
