Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy or medium-sized lorries to transport goods across designated routes in Miri and surrounding areas.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and performance standards.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, trip reports, and documentation for every shipment.
- Ensure that all cargo is properly loaded, secured, and protected against damage during transit.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company driving policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any transit issues.
- Maintain the cleanliness and general mechanical condition of the assigned vehicle.
Qualifications
- Possess a valid GDL (Goods Driving License) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum 2 years of proven experience as a Lorry Driver or in a similar transport role.
- Strong knowledge of Miri road networks and regional logistics routes.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and troubleshooting.
- Good physical health and stamina to handle long hours on the road.
- Basic proficiency in reading and writing in Malay or English.
- Punctual, disciplined, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
