HERON NEXUS SDN. BHD is looking for a dynamic Project Manager to lead our exciting game development initiatives. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of game projects from concept to launch, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams including design, art, programming, QA, and marketing. You’ll apply agile methodologies to drive sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand‑ups, while keeping stakeholders informed through clear reporting and regular updates. Your ability to balance scope, resources, and risk will be crucial in delivering immersive gaming experiences that captivate players worldwide.

Responsibilities
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including schedules, milestones, and resource allocations.
- Lead agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, reviews, and retrospectives) to ensure timely delivery.
- Monitor and track project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Manage project budgets, forecasting costs, and ensuring fiscal discipline throughout the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate communication between cross‑functional teams, providing clarity on priorities and expectations.
- Conduct post‑mortems and continuous improvement activities to enhance future project outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Game Design, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience managing software or game development projects.
- Proven expertise in Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Asana).
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Experience with budget planning, cost control, and resource allocation.
- Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.
- Passion for gaming and a good understanding of the game development pipeline.
