Our client, a leading construction firm in Singapore, is seeking an experienced and driven Project Quantity Surveyor / Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional with expertise in E&M (Electrical & Mechanical), Building, or Civil works to take on challenging projects and contribute to the success of high-profile developments.
As a key member of the commercial team, you will be responsible for all aspects of cost management, from initial feasibility and tender preparation through to final account settlement. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and review cost estimates, budgets, and cash flow forecasts for construction projects.
- Manage the tender process, including preparation of tender documents, evaluation of bids, and negotiation with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Monitor project costs, variations, and progress claims to ensure financial control and compliance with contractual terms.
- Liaise with project teams to review design changes, assess cost implications, and prepare valuation reports.
- Administer and finalize contracts, including measurement of quantities, submission of interim valuations, and settlement of final accounts.
- Identify and mitigate commercial risks, ensuring all contractual obligations are met.
- Attend regular site meetings to track progress and resolve any quantity or cost-related issues.
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in project quantity surveying, preferably in E&M, building, or civil projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., SIA, PSSCOC, or similar) and measurement standards (SMM, CESMM).
- Proficient in cost estimation software (e.g., CostX, Buildsoft, or equivalent) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Project).
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team under tight deadlines.
- Membership or working towards RICS, SISV, or IES accreditation is an advantage.
