Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments including cognitive, behavioral, and adaptive functioning evaluations
- Develop and implement evidence-based intervention plans tailored to individual student needs
- Provide individual and group counseling services addressing emotional, behavioral, and social challenges
- Collaborate with teachers and allied professionals to integrate psychological strategies into classroom settings
- Offer guidance and support to parents and caregivers regarding student progress and home-based strategies
- Maintain detailed case records and progress documentation in accordance with professional standards
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences
- Contribute to the development of school policies and programs related to student welfare and mental health
Qualifications
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology from a recognized university
- Provisional Registration with the Singapore Psychological Society (SPS) or full registration eligibility
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience working with children or adolescents with special needs
- Proficiency in administering and interpreting standardized psychological assessments
- Strong understanding of developmental disorders including autism spectrum disorder and intellectual disability
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Knowledge of local educational frameworks and special education practices is advantageous
- Commitment to professional ethics, confidentiality, and student-centered practices
