As a Purchaser Assistant, you will work closely with buyers, suppliers, and internal departments to streamline purchasing processes, monitor stock levels, and ensure that all procurement activities align with company standards. Responsibilities
- Assist in sourcing, evaluating, and selecting suppliers to ensure quality, cost, and delivery requirements are met.
- Process purchase orders (POs) accurately and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse to maintain optimal stock to avoid shortages or overstock.
- Communicate with suppliers to track order status, resolve discrepancies, and negotiate pricing and terms.
- Maintain and update purchasing records, supplier files, and price lists in the system.
- Support cost reduction initiatives by identifying opportunities for bulk purchasing or alternative suppliers.
- Coordinate with production and logistics teams to align procurement schedules with manufacturing needs.
- Prepare reports on purchasing activities, vendor performance, and inventory metrics for management review.
Qualifications
- At least a senior high school diploma or associate degree; a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is an advantage.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in purchasing, procurement, or inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing or logistics environment.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiar with ERP or inventory management software.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Knowledge of supply chain principles and basic procurement processes.
- Willing to work in Calamba City, Laguna and adapt to shifting schedules if needed.
