Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and process purchase orders and requisitions in accordance with company policies.
  • Research and evaluate potential suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery speed.
  • Negotiate with vendors to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms of contract.
  • Monitor and track order statuses to ensure timely delivery and resolve any discrepancies or delays.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels within the ERP system.
  • Liaise with the warehouse and production teams to manage stock requirements and prevent shortages.
  • Evaluate supplier performance regularly and assist in the vendor pre-qualification process.
  • Prepare monthly procurement reports and assist in budget monitoring activities.

Qualifications

  • Possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or administrative support within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain professional relationships with suppliers.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and verbal.
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to work at either our Batang Kali or Shah Alam locations as required.
